Fano
Fano is a well-known seaside resort in the northern part of the Marche region, famous for the oldest Italian carnival. Fano's coastline is divided into Lido and Sassonia (Fano Nord, Sassonia Nord, and Torrette are beaches), which were awarded the prestigious European Blue Flag in 2017 and are distinguished by the presence of low sandy and gravelly coastlines.
The waterfront features a twelve-kilometer-long Adriatic coast bicycle path that connects Fano and Pesaro. Fano has an important fishing port, and those interested in nautical tourism can visit the well-equipped Marina Dei Cesari, a modern and functional wharf where many boat moor.
