The Castles of Pesaro-Urbino.

From Fano to the Monastery of Fonte Avellana

We begin our journey in Fano which hosts one of the best-preserved relics of the Roman presence in the Marche region: the Arch of Augustus, built in the first century A.D.

From Fano, we travel to Fossombrone, a charming town near the Apennine peaks, and then to Urbino, known for its magnificent ducal palace. The next stops are Urbania, renowned for its handcrafted ceramics and well-preserved ancient medieval core; Acqualagna, famous for its highly prized white truffles; the Furlo Gorge, one of the Region's most beautiful natural wonders; Cagli, known for its artisanal stonework and magnificent Romanesque and Gothic churches.

Finally, we conclude the excursion with a few hours of peace and quiet at the Fonte Avellana Monastery.
